Mickey Mendenhall, 83 of Vienna, W.Va. died peacefully at The Arbors at Marietta on March 14, 2015.Mickey was born September 22, 1931, in Winterhaven, Florida, daughter of the late William Latta Law, Jr. and Frances Potter Law.She was a devoted mother and homemaker, an excellent cook and enjoyed preparing meals for her family and friends. Over the years she collected a large library of cookbooks from around the world. She also loved her animals and spending time with her family. Mickey had an unwavering faith in God and was a member of First United Presbyterian Church and assisted in activities there. She also enjoyed playing bridge, reading, traveling and especially enjoyed being with family and friends. She was a member of the Parkersburg Country club, Blennerhassett Dental Auxiliary, Junior League of Parkersburg and a volunteer at St. Joseph's Hospital.Mickey is survived by her three daughters, Debbie and Dick File of Vienna, W.Va., Rebecca (Becky) Francis of Raleigh, N.C. and Sarah and Boz Marchi also of Raleigh; two sons, James (J.D.) Mendenhall, Jr. of Vienna and John Preston Mendenhall of Albuquerque, N.M.; seven grandchildren, J.C. File, Michael File, Justin Mendenhall, Ashley Mendenhall, R.J. Francis III, Max Francis and Ali Riter (Shane) and twogreat grandchildren, Maximilian Francis and Adelyn File. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband of 62 years, James D. Mendenhall.The family would like to express gratitude to the Comfort Keepers and all involved in her care over the recent years. Services for Mickey will be Wednesday, March 18, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 3005 Grand Central Ave. Vienna, W.Va. with Reverend Michael Seely officiating. Burial will follow the service at Parkersburg Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be at the funeral home one hour prior to the services.Donations may be made to the Humane Society of Wood County, 29th and Poplar Streets, Parkersburg, WV. 26101 or Alzheimers Association of the Mid-Ohio Valley,1218 Market St. Parkersburg, WV. 26101
