Frances Virginia Fought

Frances LaRue Fought, 92, passed away August 15, 2026 at Rockland Ridge Nursing and Rehab in Belpre, Ohio. She was born November 3, 1933, in Newark, WV to the late E. Beryl and Kathryn Morrison LaRue.

She is survived by her estranged daughter, Ann Clemente (Jim) and their twin sons, Jared and Bryce; her son, Alfred “Alfie” Fought (Gabriella) and their twins, Aiden and Allie; her niece, Wanda Mills; her brother-in-law, Lloyd Fought (Dorothy Ann); sister-in-law, Marjorie Mayes; and numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Alfred F. Fought, Jr.; sister, Irene Gault (Lionel); half-sister, Louise Morrison (Harvey); half-brother, Emory LaRue (Rosanne); nephew, John Mills; sisters-in-law; Eloise Weaver (Andy) and Pribble Thompson (Ronald); and a special niece, Connie Brown (Brownie).

Per Frances request, there will be no services. She will be laid to rest in Sunset Memory Gardens Mausoleum.

The family would like to thank Rockland Ridge for the special care and love they gave to Frances.

In lieu of flowers, please make donations to South Parkersburg Traditional Methodist Church in Parkersburg.

Final arrangements have been entrusted to Lambert Tatman Funeral Home, South Parkersburg, and they are honored to serve her family.
