Frances Kay Chipps, 71, of Parkersburg, passed away March 20,2020 at Select Specialty Hospital in Columbus, OH. She was born February 17, 1949 in Parkersburg, the daughter of the late Ira and Mary Lou Metz Deem. Frances was a graduate of Parkersburg High School in 1967. She was a homemaker and loved to do crafts. Frances was a member of the Red Hatters Club, active with the PHS Alumni Association and was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church in Vienna. She is survived by her husband, Michael Ross Chipps; one daughter, Michelle Ingram (William, Jr.) of Parkersburg; one son, Scott Chipps (Sasha) of Tuppers Plains, OH; seven grandchildren, Ashly, Kyle, Jordon, Hailey, Mackenzie, Grayson and Caydon; three great-grandchildren, Klair, Bradley, and Logan; two nieces and three nephews. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by one sister, Mary Joanne Watson and one brother, Duane Deem. Private family graveside services will be 10:00 A.M. Tuesday, March 24, 2020 at Mt. Olivet Cemetery with Pastor Leon Valentine officiating. There will be no visitation. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Fellowship Baptist Church in Vienna. Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 2333 Pike Street, south Parkersburg is assisting the Chipps family with arrangements.
