Frances Mae Arthur, 73, of Parkersburg, WV, gained her heavenly wings on May 30th, 2024. She passed away peacefully surrounded by her family after a short but fierce battle with cancer.
Frances, along with her husband James, were self-employed business owners. They previously owned and operated Artie's Exxon, as well as Frannie B's craft store. Years later, they became the trustworthy owners of AQA Investments.
Frances was hardworking and diligent, dedicating much of her time to keeping up with the many businesses she was a part of, however, her favorite job of all was being a wonderful wife, mother, nanny, and friend to so many.
She was a wonderful mother who was always there when we needed her the most, offering support, wisdom, and love in abundance. She enjoyed traveling with her daughter and grandson, visiting the beach, and being a wonderful nanny and best friend to Brayden.
A kind and loving soul, and a faithful friend. If you had the pleasure of being her friend, you were in for life, leaving behind a legacy of kindness and strength.
Frances leaves behind her loving husband of 47 years, James Arthur; daughter, Amy Arthur; sons, Rick and Tony Perkins; son-in-law, Michael Stivers; grandchildren, Nathan, Allie, and Kyle Perkins, Elizabeth, and Brayden Arthur-Stivers; one great-grandchild, Brilynn Perkins; sister, Joyce Young (Wayne) of Columbus; brother, Don Nonamaker of Vienna; sister-in-law, Sharon Nonamaker of Vienna. She also leaves behind a bonus daughter, Misty Miller, as well as Erin and Haleigh Chatterton, along with countless friends, and several nieces and nephews, who felt her warmth and generosity.
Along with her parents, Daryl and Leona Nonamaker, she is preceded in death by her youngest child, Adam Arthur; three brothers, Bud, Ron, and James Nonamaker; and two sisters-in-law, Ruth and Barb Nonamaker.
Funeral Services will be held at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home in Vienna, 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 4, 2024. Burial to follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Visitation will be held 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Monday, June 3, at the funeral home.
