Floyd Carl "Doc" Holliday Sr., passed away peacefully on Monday, July 13th, 2026, at the age of 81. Born on March 16th, 1945, in Lubeck, West Virginia, Floyd lived a life full of love, adventure, and dedication to his family.

Doc was a devoted husband to his wife Cheryl Jean Holliday and a loving father to his sons, Floyd Carl Holliday II (Jodi) and Chad Eugene Holliday (Kristin). He was the caring brother of Marylou Bailes (Doug), William David Holliday, and Richard Holliday, and found joy in his grandchildren, Amber Holliday (Len), Brandon Holliday, and Dylan Holliday, as well as his cherished great-granddaughter, Hudson Pearl Roman.

Professionally, Doc was admired for his work as a mechanic with the City of Parkersburg. His dedication and commitment to his career earned him many friends and colleagues through his career.

Doc found joy in simple pleasures and activities. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved fishing and hunting, and had a passion for dirt track racing and camping. He could often be found at car shows, where he admired the engineering of classic automobiles.

His family, friends, and all those who knew him will deeply miss Doc's warm presence. He was preceded in death by his parents, Carl Holliday and Docia Juanita Holliday; his daughter, Amy Jo Holliday; his sister, Opal Vincent; and his brother, Denzil Holliday.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 18, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. at the Lambert Tatman Funeral Home, located on Pike Street in South Parkersburg with Bishops Jimmie Cox and Jeremy Cox officiating. Friends and family are invited to a visitation on Friday, July 17, 2026, from 2 - 4 p.m. and 6 - 8 p.m., as well as one hour prior to the service on Saturday at the funeral home. Following the service, Doc will be laid to rest at Sunset Memory Gardens. Arrangements have been lovingly handled by Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, in South Parkersburg.

Doc's laughter, wisdom, and love will remain in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know him.
