Florence Louise Sandy

Florence Louise Lockhart Sandy, 90, peacefully passed away at Worthington Health Care Center in Parkersburg on June 22, 2024. She was born September 14, 1933, a daughter of the late Kelly L. and Dessel Woodring Lockhart.

She was a homemaker who enjoyed spending time with her family, gardening, going for a walk, puzzles, and cooking.

Florence leaves behind her daughters, Eula Honaker (Dwight) of Parkersburg, Molly Sandy (Jean)of Marietta, and Stella Oldham (Tony) of Grantsville; her son, Glen Sandy (Melody) of Coolville; her sister, Ida Sidwell of Elizabeth; her brother, Francis Lockhart of Burning Springs; thirteen grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Franklin Sandy; her son, Franklin Sandy; two daughters, Edna Wilson and Catherine Sandy; five brothers; and one sister.

A funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM, Wednesday, June 26, 2024 at Lambert Tatman Funeral Home with Pastor Daniel Hopkins officiating. Burial will follow at Rector Cemetery in Burning Springs, WV. Visitation will be from 11:00 AM until the time of the service at the funeral home.
