Everett Glen Cox, 86, of Parkersburg, W.Va., passed away at his home on January 23, 2011. He was born March 6, 1924, in Ritchie Co., W.Va. Everett had been retired from Production at Dupont Washington Works. He was a former Trinity Scout Master and had also been a volunteer for Salvation Army's “Meals on Wheels”. He was also a longtime member of First Baptist Church of Parkersburg. Surviving is his loving wife, Marjorie Campbell Cox; three sons, Jon Cox and wife Carlene of Parkersburg, W.Va., Richard Cox and wife Donna of Huntington, W.Va., and Don David Cox also of Parkersburg, W.Va.; two grandchildren, Stephanie Pearce and husband Kevin of Chicago, IL, and Corey Cox and wife Breanna of Houston, TX; four great-grandchildren; and one brother, Jerome Cox and wife Alice of Hemet, CA. Funeral services will be conducted at 1PM Thursday January 27, 2011, at the Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 400 Green St., Parkersburg, with Reverend Richard McClure officiating. Interment will follow at Evergreen North Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8PM on Wednesday January 26, 2011, and one hour prior to services on Thursday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the First Baptist Church, 813 Market St., Parkersburg, W.Va., 26101.
