Evelyn Ellaree Moore

Evelyn Ellaree Moore, 90, formerly of Parkersburg passed away May 18, 2017 at Corona, CA. She was born July 20, 1926 in Woodsfield, Ohio, a daughter of the late Arthur and Ethel Morris Covey. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Robert Moore; and one brother, Kenneth Covey. Evelyn was a 1944 graduate of Parkersburg High School and was an accountant in the Parkersburg area during most of her working life. She was a former member of the North Parkersburg Baptist Church and the South Parkersburg Baptist Church, active in choir. Evelyn was a past Worthy Matron of Chapter 14 Order of the Eastern Star and active with the clown unit of Ladies Oriental Shrine in Parkersburg. She is survived by her son, William Hoffman (Lisa) of Corona, CA; four granddaughters, Elizabeth Hoffman of Morgantown, WV, Roxanna Swagel of Summerville, SC, Stacie Amuchastegui of Norco, CA, and Courtney Amuchastegui of Cedar City, UT; and seven great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, June 1, 2017 at the Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, Pike St., south Parkersburg with Pastor Bob Watkins officiating. Burial will follow in Evergreen North Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 2-6 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
