Foster, 75, of Washington, W.Va., went home to be with her Lord and Savior on November 22, 2010 at Parkersburg Care and Rehab.She was born February 18, 1935, in Wood County, a daughter of the late Gay and Julie Wigal Hoffman.Evelyn was a graduate from Parkersburg High School with the class of 1953 and worked at the Blennerhassett Museum Gift Shop. She was a member of the Pennsboro Baptist Church and often attended Independent Baptist Church in Vienna.She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Shawn and Deborah Foster of Schoharie, N.Y.; her daughter, Teresa Fincher of Parkersburg; one sister, Elaine (Ed) Bradley of Florida; one brother, Robert (Kay) Hoffman of Parkersburg; seven grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband John C. Foster; and two brothers, Harold and Wilbur Hoffman.Funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 24, at the Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, Pike St., south Parkersburg with Pastor Sam Crites of Pennsboro Baptist Church officiating. Interment will follow at the Mt. Zion Baptist Church Cemetery in Mineral Wells.
