Evelyn L. Collins

Evelyn L. Collins, 85, of Mineral Wells, WV, passed away January 26, 2018 at her home. She was born November 24, 1932 in Friars Hill, WV, a daughter of the late Loynel and Iva Bell Morrison Williams. Evelyn attended Concord College, she was a homemaker who enjoyed sewing, knitting and cooking and was a member of Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church where she enjoyed working the food pantry. Evelyn is survived by two daughters, Dolores “Shorty” Clegg of Pettyville, WV and Darleen Board (Brad) of Marietta, Ohio; four granddaughters, Michele Railey, Vanessa Bonisteel (Bryan), Misty Lustik (Jordan) , and Tiffany Board; seven great-grandchildren, Ethan, John, William, Alex and Miah, Lauren and Jackson; two great-great-grandchildren, Easten and Luke; one brother, Loyne Delmore Williams. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Porter Collins, a brother, Dennie Williams; a sister, Lucy Withrow; and a son in-law, John Clegg. Funeral services for Evelyn will be Wednesday, January 31, 2018 at 1:00 P.M. at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 2333 Pike St., south Parkersburg with Jeff Layfield officiating.
