Eugenia S. Taylor, 90, of Parkersburg, passed away November 22, 2018 at her residence. She was born December 15, 1927 in Parkersburg, WV, the daughter of the late William and Mabel Faye Washington Robinson. Eugenia was a graduate of the Sumner School and was a cheerleader during her high school years. She is one of the founders of the “Neighbor Helping Neighbor” organization at Good Shepherd Episcopal Church on Charles St. She worked for the Old Style Center clothing store as a young woman, for the Jefferson School cafeteria as a cook’s aide, for the Head Start Program, as a mail messenger for the Bureau of Public Debt and took classes as a home health nurse’s aide assistant. She always enjoyed music, dancing and a little chocolate fudge (no nuts) Mrs. Taylor was a member at large of the Logan Memorial United Methodist Church congregation on Ann St. where she was active in the choir. She is survived by four daughters, Lisa Taylor, Karen Taylor, Claudia Eugenia Taylor (Kentrel M. Mitchell) all of Parkersburg, and Sheila L. Victor (Ronald) of Cincinnati. OH; three sons, Weldon Taylor III (Vicki), Charles Anthony Taylor (Buddy) and William Tyrone Taylor all of Parkersburg; one sister, Edith Turner of Parkersburg; one brother, William Robinson of Summit, New Jersey; eleven grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Weldon Taylor, Jr. (Beaver). Funeral services for Mrs. Taylor will be Saturday, December 1, 2018 at 2:00 P.M. at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 400 Green St., Parkersburg, with her daughter, Pastor Lisa Taylor officiating. Burial will follow in Spring Grove Cemetery, Parkersburg. Visitation will be from 12:00 until time of services at the funeral home on Saturday.
