Ethel B. Vick, 93, of Parkersburg passed away August 14, 2019 at her residence. She was born February 23, 1926 in Cairo, WV, daughter of the late Richard Calvin and Teresa Lemley Parr. She graduated from PHS in 1945. Her career in banking began at Wood County Bank. She then worked and retired from Chase Bank. She married the love of her life, Herbie on June 15, 1958 and they enjoyed their life together until his death in 2006. Ethel was a Methodist by faith and was currently a member of St. Andrews United Methodist Church. She had a real gift for baking the most amazing desserts which were enjoyed by her family and friends. Ethel is survived by three sisters, Sarah E. Board, Mary Alice Hardman and Mildred W. Sutton all of Parkersburg; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert William Vick; a sister, Naomi Cassell; a brother, Emmett R. Parr; and infant brother, Ralph. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Saturday, August 17, 2019 at St. Andrews United Methodist Church with Rev. Jonathon Nettles officiating. Burial will follow at Parkersburg Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 400 Green St. Parkersburg and one hour prior to services Saturday at the church. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Ethel’s name to the St. Andrews Memorial Fund @ 1210 20th St. Parkersburg.
