Ethel M. Poole

Ethel M. Musgrave Poole 85, of Vienna, passed away May 17, 2016 at The Arbors Nursing Home, Parkersburg. She was born May 30, 1930 in Brownsville, Pa. the daughter of the late Xenia Arnet and Lelia E. Johnson Musgrave. Ethel graduated from Parkersburg High School in 1948. She was employed as a secretary in the accounting office of Fahlgren and Swink Advertising Agency. She also worked as a secretary for the Criss Concrete Company then as an office manager for Atlas Towing. She was a member of the Memorial Church of the Good Shepherd where she spent seven years as a parish secretary. She also enjoyed singing in the senior choir and serving as a lay reader. Being close to home since 2014, she attended Wesley United Methodist Church of Vienna. She is survived by her husband, H. Gene Poole of Vienna; daughters, Karen L. Simon of Charleston, Debbie J. Poole of Vienna, and Janet L. Poole of Charlotte, NC.; three grandchildren, E.J. Oesterle (Nicole) of Denton, MD, Elizabeth Oesterle of Snowshoe, WV and D. Jade Simon of Boize, ID. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters. Services for Ethel will be held at 11:00 A.M. Friday, May 20, 2016 at Wesley United Methodist Church 497 21st. Street, Vienna, WV with Pastor Carolyn Nettles officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Parkersburg. Visitation will be on Thursday, from 2:00-4:00 and 6:00-8:00 P.M. at Lambert-Tatman funeral Home, 3005 Grand Central Ave. Vienna, WV.
