Ethel Virginia Moyers

Virginia P. Moyers, 83 of Vienna, W.Va. passed away March 29, 2016 at her residence. She was born April 13, 1932 in Harrisville, W.Va., the daughter of the late Ora and Ethel Smith Phillips. Virginia retired from Ritchie County School System as a teacher and was a principal and teacher with the Christian Academy in Charleston. She is survived by two step-daughters; a very special niece and care giver whom she raised as a daughter, Angela Delaney; a very special niece who was like a sister, Helen Sweeney; two grandchildren, Andrew and Matthew Johnson; several nieces and nephews; and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Larry Moyers; daughter, Lyn Sheets Johnson; one step-daughter,three brothers; and two sisters. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday, April 1, 2016 at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home. 3005 Grand Central Ave., Vienna with burial to follow at IOOF Cemetery in Harrisville, W.Va. Visitation will be from 12:30-1:30 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
