Esther Marlene Johnson

Esther Marlene Wine Johnson, 77 of Parkersburg, W.Va. went to be with the Lord Jan. 8, 2015 at her residence.She was born Oct. 22, 1937 in Wood County, W.Va., daughter of the late John E. and Bernice Robinson Wine. She was a graduate of Parkersburg High School and a member of the Fellowship Baptist Church. She played piano for the church most of her life. She enjoyed sewing, crocheting, knitting and cooking.Esther is survived by her husband, Howard S. Johnson; two daughters, Olga Thomas (Philip) of Coolville, OH and Leslie Cothran of Hendersonville, TN; two sons, Loren Johnson of Belpre, OH and Arron Johnson (Erika) of Parkersburg; a brother, Ronald Wine of Davisville, W.Va.; eleven grandchildren, Amy and Andrew Thomas, Anne Braglin (Josh), Lindsie and Lanie Johnson, Ashley and David Parsons, Megan and Mithchell Cothran, and Ariel and Rowan Johnson; and five great-grandchildren, Abigayle, Aiden, David Roman and Tytan Parsons, and Blaine Johnson.In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a brother, Weldon Wine.Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 10, 2015 at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 400 Green St. Parkersburg, W.Va. with Pastor Jon Lands officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memory Gardens. Visitation will be 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
