Erma G. "Gerry" Branch

Erma G. “Gerry” Branch, 93, of Parkersburg, passed away Sunday, May 28, 2017 at Eagle Pointe. She was born in Belpre, Ohio, a daughter of the late Charles A. and Stella Grace Province Shepherd. Gerry was a homemaker and active member of South Parkersburg U.M. Church. She was a former employee of the American Viscose Corporation and especially enjoyed working crossword puzzles, gardening roses and bowling on various leagues. She was a member of the Eagles, V.F.W. and American Legion. Survivors include, two sons; Reverend Richard K. DeQuasie (Susie) and Pastor Michael L. Branch (Karen) all of Mineral Wells; one daughter, Lynda Sue Branch Roberts of Parkersburg; one brother, Franklin Delano Shepherd; one sister, Betty Stringer; five grandchildren, Brian DeQuasie (Joann), Beth Brown (Roger), Heather York (Chas), Amanda Branch and Jason Roberts; five great grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Gerry was preceded in death by her first husband, Ellwood W. DeQuasie in 1952; second husband, Jarratt C. “Jack” Branch in 2016;four brothers, Charles Jr., Don, Stanley and Darrell Shepherd; six sisters, Ella Louise Shepherd, Norma Dominick, Irene Coughlin, Thelma Riley, Vonda Olson and Gloria Thomas. Gerry was proud to celebrate two five generation families through her granddaughters, Beth and Heather. Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 P.M. Thursday, June 1, 2017 at the South Parkersburg U.M. Church with Reverend Rick Brown officiating. Service will conclude with interment in Evergreen South Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 2333 Pike Street, Parkersburg from 2-4 and 6-8 P.M. Wednesday and at the church one hour prior to services. In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to South Parkersburg United Methodist Church
