Erick Lynn Church

Erick Lynn Church, 54, of Parkersburg, passed away April 20, 2019 at Camden Clark Medical Center. He was born April 3, 1965 in Parkersburg, the son of the late Wayne and Wanda Balderson Church. Erick was a graduate of Belpre High School Class of 1983, was a member of the U.S.Navy for 4 years and the National Guard for 28 years. Erick was also employed by the Dept. of Defense as an aviation fuel specialist. He was a former member of the Wood County Rescue Team and former member of the Belpre VFD. He also was employed by Nashua Photo and SuddenLink Communications for 13 years. He was an avid golfer and loved anything family oriented. Erick is survived by his wife, Debra “Debbie” Clarkson Church of 23 years; 2 sons, Bryan Conley (Jenni) of Huntersville, NC and Shawn Conley (Caitlin) of Lexington, KY; 4 brothers, Gary (Jackie) Church of Little Hocking, OH, Randy (Pam) Church of Belpre, OH, Keith (Sharon) Church of Cincinnati, OH and Glenn Church of Parkersburg; one granddaughter, Megan Conley of Huntersville, NC; brother-in-law, Mark Clarkson and sister-in-law, Heidi Clarkson both of Irmo, SC, and sister-in-law, Kim Clarkson of Parkersburg; mother-in-law, Margaret L. Clarkson of Parkersburg and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his father-in-law, Raymond Clarkson and a nephew, Chad Allen. Funeral services for Erick will be 5:00 P.M., Wednesday, April 24, 2019 at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, Vienna with Chaplain Joe Ward officiating. Full Military Honor’s will be conducted. Visitation will be Wednesday from 1:00 P.M. until time of service. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Amedisys Hospice, 417 Grand Park Dr. Suite 206, Parkersburg, WV 26105
