Emmett Murl Davis

Emmett Murl Davis, 64, of Mineral Wells, W.Va., passed away Tuesday, February 2, 2016 at the Arbors Nursing Facility, Marietta, Ohio.He was born April 8, 1951, in Wood County W.Va., a son of the late Charles A. and Mary M. Greathouse Davis.Emmett was a carpenter and enjoyed playing pool and hunting.He is survived by his three children, Emmett D. Starcher and Nicholas P. David (Angelique), both of Mineral Wells, and Misty Fields (John) of Wirt County, W.Va.; two sisters, Charlene Fordyce of Mineral Wells, and Judy Meadows (Roger) of Calhoun County, W.Va.; six grandchildren, Lindsay, Evan, Alex, John, Laken and Hunter; and one great-granddaughter.In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Charles Paul Davis.A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 13, 2016 at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 2333 Pike St., South Parkersburg.
