Elvin Mayon Moellendick, 97, of Parkersburg, W.Va. passed away on June 30, 2015 at The Willows Center.He was born May 29, 1918, in Washington, W.Va., son of the late William J. and Ella Noe Moellendick.He retired from the City of Parkersburg in Code Enforcement and was employed by the Coca Cola Bottling Company of Parkersburg for 35 years. He was a faithful servant of God and Calvary Memorial Church where he served as an usher and assistant treasurer. He enjoyed gardening, fishing and working in his garage on lawn mowers.He is survived by his wife of 70 years, June Whiteside Moellendick; son, Randy Moellendick and wife, Carolyn of Belpre, Ohio; daughter, Barbara Tuell and husband, David of Davisville, W.Va.; twin sister, Evelyn Mitchell of Parkersburg; step-grandchildren, Tim Duty and wife, Cindy and Tricia Sanders and husband, David, all of Parkersburg; step-great-grandchildren, Nicholas and Tori Sanders; and several nieces and nephews.In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Ina Weber; two brothers, Carl and Arthur Moellendick; and an infant brother, Lowell Moellendick.Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, July 3, 2015 at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 2333 Pike St., South Parkersburg with Pastor Rob Collins officiating. Interment will follow at Lubeck Cemetery. Visitation will be from2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Thursday and one hour prior to services on Friday at the funeral home.Memorials may be made to the Old Man Rivers Mission, 703 Pike St., Parkersburg, WV 26101 in memory of Elvin.
