Elmer J. Harris

Elmer J. Harris passed away on October 4, 2017 surrounded by family. He was preceded in death by his wife, Irma J. Harris. He was an Air Force Veteran and spent his career at Sears Roebuck. He was a loyal member of Grace Brethren Church. He is survived by daughter, Terry Whaley and her children, Adam Whaley, Ethan Whaley and Alison Dowdy; daughter, Sandra Qualls and her husband, Paul E. Qualls Jr. and their children, Paul Qualls III and Sara Qualls Anderson; son, Timothy Harris and his children, Judson Harris, and Katie Harris; 10 great-grandchildren; one sister, Lena Hopkins. Funeral services will be held at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday, October 7, 2017 at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 2333 Pike St., south Parkersburg. Private interment will follow on Sunday, October 8, 2017 at noon at the Pond Creek Baptist Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2p.m. until service time on Saturday at the funeral home.
