Ellen L. Starcher

Ellen Louverna Starcher, 89, of Parkersburg, passed away on Tuesday, September 19, 2017 at Camden Clark Medical Center. She was born March 16, 1928, in Calhoun County, WV, daughter of the late Charles and Ocie Mary Gainer Hughes. Ellen was a 1946 graduate of Calhoun County High School. She was a homemaker and was known to her nieces and nephews as “Mommy Ellen”. She is survived by several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Ellen was preceded in death by her husband, Jasper T. Starcher; 5 brothers and 4 sisters. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, September 22, 2017 at Sunset Memory Gardens with Pastor Lloyd Winans officiating. Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, Pike St. is assisting the family with arrangements.
