Elizabeth Claire Conley

Elizabeth Claire Conley, 92 of Parkersburg, W.Va. passed away May 26, 2014 at her residence.She was born June 14, 1921 in Parkersburg a daughter of the late Harry E. and Della M. Summers Clinton. She was a 1939 graduate of Parkersburg High School and a graduate of Camden-Clark School of Nursing. She was retired from St. Joseph's Hospital where she worked as a registered Surgical Nurse. She was a member of Bethel Presbyterian Church and loved her children and grandchildren dearly.Elizabeth is survived by her daughter, Mary E. Harris (Michael) of Parkersburg, W.Va.; her sons, David R. Conley (Jean) of Belpre, Ohio, and Harry C. Conley (Kathryn) of Vienna, W.Va.; her brother, Bill Clinton (Betsy) of Cheyenne, WY; sister-in-law, Virginia Clinton of Parkersburg, W.Va.; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; three great great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, J. Ray Conley; and four brothers, George, Paul, Clyde, and Richard Clinton.Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Thursday, May 29, 2014 at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 400 Green St. Parkersburg with Pastor Rick Kappel officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Visitation will be 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Wed. and one hour prior to services at the funeral home.The family wishes to thank Elizabeth's caregivers, Robert Conley, Housecalls Hospice, Sonja Sellers, and Dr. Hannah and his staff for the comfort and care given by all.
