Eleanor J. Walker

Eleanor J. Walker, 86, of Parkersburg, left this world on Tuesday, February 6, 2018 to join her husband, French, in Heaven. She was born December 17, 1931, in Walton, WV, daughter of the late Earl and Maysel Caldwell Shafer. Eleanor was a graduate of Walton High School in Roane County, WV. She enjoyed traveling, cooking, and helping family and friends. Eleanor was an active member of The Broadway Church of Nazarene. She is survived by her son, Oral Jay Walker of Parkersburg. In addition to her parents, Eleanor was preceded in death by her husband of sixty years, French O. Walker. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, February 9, 2018 at The Broadway Church of Nazarene, 901 Broadway Ave., Parkersburg, WV, with Pastor Dan Meek and Pastor Bob Kniley officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memory Gardens. Visitation will be from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. on Thursday at the Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 2333 Pike St, south Parkersburg.
