Eleanore Bumgarner Dahl, 94, passed away on April 14, 2016 at Wyngate Senior Living Community. Eleanore was born to Clarence and Gina (Hanson) Bumgarner on a ranch in Fife, Montana. She attended school in Fife, Wayne and graduated from Belt Valley High. She also attended Montana State University. She has lived in Connecticut, Washington, Illinois, West Virginia and Texas, following her husband's transfers. She lived in Orange, Texas for 53 years before coming to Ohio and West Virginia. She was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, John Raymond Dahl, an infant son, James Russell Dahl; two sisters, Barbara Severns and Shirley Meyer; and a brother, Russell Bumgarner. She was a homemaker and enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles and playing bridge. While in Orange she did volunteer work at the Orange Baptist Hospital for over 30 years, worked with the Host Program, taught Sunday School for 14 years, was a volunteer at the Lutcher Stark Theater, a member of the Altar Guild at the First United Methodist Church, a member of the Leaf and Petal Garden Club and she was also a member at Sunset Grove Country Club where she played golf until she was 80 years old. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Brian (Gale) Dahl of Vienna, W.Va. and her daughter and son-in-law, Laurie (Norman) Cowart; six grandchildren, Colby (Laura) Dahl. Spencer Dahl, Scott (Lauren) Dahl and Allison (Brian) Olson, Ben Cowart and Emily Cowart; five great-grandchildren, Natalie, Caleb, Harper, Ezra and Finn. A brother, Everett (Vernelda) Bumgarner of Montana and many nieces and nephews. At Eleanore's request there will be no services. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Stout Memorial United Methodist Church in Parkersburg, W.Va. or to Amedisys Hospice Care in Vienna, W.Va. in memory of Eleanore
