Edna Katherine Shafer

Edna Katherine Shafer, 100, of Parkersburg, W.Va., went home to be with her Lord and Savior on October 28, 2015.Edna was born on June 5, 1915 in Doddridge County, W.Va., the daughter of the late Irvin Scott and Ida Hess Perine.She is survived by two daughters, Linda (David) Coplin of Parkersburg and Evelyn (William) Tephabock of Lubeck, W.Va.; one sister, Wanda Shafer of Vienna, W.Va.; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Willis Shafer; two sons, James Allen Shafer and Larry Joseph Shafer; brothers, Bert B. Perine, Earnest Carl Perine, Irvin Perine Jr., Edward Eugene “Gene” Perine; and two sisters, Esther Virginia Perine Coplin and Nellie Jones.Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 31, 2015 at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 2333 Pike St., South Parkersburg with Pastor Roger Benson officiating. Interment will follow at Parkersburg Memorial Gardens.Visitation will be one hour prior to the services on Saturday.
