Edith Burton Turley Chancey

Edith Burton Turley Chancey, age 93 of Vienna, WV, passed away Thursday, December 28, 2017 at the Worthington Healthcare Center. She was born February 23, 1924 in Charleston, WV, a daughter of the late Edward and Cecilia Ruble Turley. Edith was a Navy Wave in WWII and retired from the IRS after many years of service. She was a member of the Women's Club and the Eastern Star in Florida for over 19 years. She enjoyed fishing and bowling. She is survived by one daughter, Darlene Church (Joseph) of Coolville, Ohio; one son, Jeffrey Chancey (Sherri) of Belpre, Ohio; grandchildren, Luke Chancey of Belpre and Crystal (Perry) Corbett of Columbus, Ohio; and one great-granddaughter – due in January 2018. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Mead M. Chancey, Jr.; one sister; and four brothers. Memorial services will be held at a later date at the convenience of the family. The family would like to thank the staff at the Worthington Manor Healthcare Center and Brenda Udell and everyone at Affordable In Home Care for their love and support given to Edith.
