Earnest Earl McCune, Jr., 65, of Parkersburg passed away March 4, 2013 at Camden-Clark Medical Center after a short illness.He was born March 17, 1947 in Parkersburg to the late Earnest Sr. and Amanda Anderson McCune. “Earnie” was a graduate of Parkersburg High School and a Navy veteran. He was a skilled woodworker and remodeled houses to rent. He was retired from Walker/Parkersburg.He is survived by two daughters, Jennifer Moellendick and husband, Trey of Vienna, W.Va., and Cindy McCune of Parkersburg, W.Va.; one brother, Roy McCune of Parkersburg, W.Va.; five grandchildren, Tyler Thornton, Aric Moellendick and Jaden Moellendick of Vienna, W.Va., Wesly McCune and Isaac Pennington of Parkersburg, W.Va.; a friend, Michael Lupardis and his family; several nieces and nephews; and two former wives, Hannah (mother of his daughters) and Jenny.In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother, Larry; and a sister, Karen.Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. March 7, 2013 at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 400 Green St. Parkersburg, W.Va. Burial will follow at Parkersburg Memorial Gardens with full military graveside rites by American Legion Post 15 of Parkersburg. Visitation will be from noon to 2:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.The family would like to thank Camden Clark Medical Center for their care of Earnie during his time of illness.
