Earl Gary McConnell

Earl Gary McConnell, 87, of Washington, WV., passed away Tuesday, October 13, 2026, at his residence. He was born October 21, 1938, a son of the late Ira E. and Pauline F. Sanders McConnell.

Earl was employed by O’Ames where he retired after 40 years. He was a member of the Camden Avenue Church of Christ for many years. He enjoyed flying planes so much that he was a private pilot, as well as motorcycles.

He is survived by his children, Angela, Gary, Aaron, and Jason McConnell; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his lovely wife, Donna McConnell, and four sisters.

A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m., on Friday, October 16, 2026, at Lambert Tatman Funeral Home, South Parkesburg with Pastor Doug Wells officiating. Interment will follow at River Hill Cemetery where he will be laid to rest beside his wife. A visitation will take place from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home.
