Earl I. Blair

Earl I. Blair, 85 years of age, passed away at 4:55 pm on Monday April 2, 2018. Earl was born in Wood County, WV on May 16, 1932. He was married twice, and had four children; daughters Susan, Jennifer, Angela, and one son, Kerry. He was preceded in death by his father, Perry Blair, his mother, Maggie Blair, and three brothers Harold, Pearl, and Carl Blair. His second wife, Monoka Irene (Godfrey) Blair also preceded him in death. Earl was a talented musician, and enjoyed his retirement years from Elkem Metals, traveling with Monoka to various musical festivals, and events. As a member of The Country Pickers he enjoyed bringing music to those in assisted living facilities. He passed quietly with children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren gathered around his bedside. In the background, played recordings of he and Monoka. Together again, at last. Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m., Friday, April 6, 2018, at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 1305 Washington Boulevard, Belpre, Ohio. Burial will follow at East Lawn Memorial Park, Marietta, Ohio. Visitation will be Thursday from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
