E. Jean Tracey, 85, of Vienna, W.Va. passed away on April 17, 2015 at Worthington Center.She was born November 11, 1929, in Wood County, W.Va., a daughter of the late Howard Herman and Sylvia Burton Allen.Jean was a 1947 graduate of Parkersburg High School and was awarded the Daughters of the American Revolution Award for Good Citizenship and Leadership in 1944. She was a secretary for the Wood County Board of Education (Veterans Adult Training Program), worked for WV Veteran Affairs, O'Ames Co. in the accounting department, for the Internal Revenue Service and also was a legal secretary for C. Edward McDonough. She enjoyed music, family activities and ballroom dancing.She is survived by two sons, Allen G. Tracey (Charlene) of Strongsville, Ohio and Larry M. Tracey (Charity) of Huntington, W.Va.; two sisters, Sue Ann Anderson of Virginia and Carole Kay Bowser (Joe) of Parkersburg; two grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Alvin L. Tracey; and one grandson, Jeffrey A. Tracey.Funeral services will be held at 12:00 noon on Monday, April 20, 2015 at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 400 Green St., Parkersburg. Interment will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until time of service at the funeral home.In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made to the Humane Society of Parkersburg, who found a loving home for her dog, Jasper.
