E. Jean Miller Stephens, 88, of Parkersburg, walked into the arms of the Lord on January 1, 2015 at Camden Clark Medical Center.She was born July 4, 1926, in Smithville, W.Va., a daughter of the late Harry and Christine Summers Miller.Jean was a 1944 graduate of Harrisville High School and a homemaker.She was a member of South Parkersburg United Methodist Church.She is survived by her daughter, Linda K. (Ed) Harris of Parkersburg; two sons David (Jane) Stephens of Parkersburg and Daniel (Linda) Stephens of Rockport, W.Va.; four grandchildren, Stephanie (Patrik) Argast of El Sobrante, Calif., Lesley (Steven) Cline of Mineral Wells, W.Va., Joseph (Carrie) Harris of Wahiawa, Hawaii, and Chase (Polly) Stephens of Mason, Ohio; and six great-grandchildren, Luca Argast, Adrien Argast, Lauren Cline, Carlen Harris, Jack Stephens, and Jessica Friere.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Carl M. Stephens; one infant son, Ronald B. Stephens; two sisters, Katherine Gorrell and Janet Hinkle; and one brother, Robert Miller.Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 5, at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, Pike St., south Parkersburg with Pastor Ted Osgood officiating.Interment will follow at Evergreen South Cemetery.Visitation will be from 2:00 – 4:00 and 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 4, at the funeral home.In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to South Parkersburg United Methodist Church.
