Douglas E. Laughlin

Douglas E. Laughlin, 59, of Parkersburg, WV, passed away peacefully on Monday, June 5, 2017 at his residence after a lengthy illness. He was born October 20, 1957, in Parkersburg, where he lived all his life, a son of the late Harry D. Laughlin Jr. and Betty Clara Wilson Laughlin. Doug was a passionate man who enjoyed his family and working on his Jeep and truck. He formerly worked at Johns-Manville in Vienna and was a former truck driver. Doug loved and cherished his family including his precious grandchildren. He will be sadly missed by his family and friends. He is survived by his loving wife of almost thirty-six years, Johnna Hopkins Laughlin; his cherished twins, Sara Ann Laughlin Caplinger (Derek) of Delaware, OH and Joseph Douglas Laughlin (Rineeta) of Sacramento, CA; and his precious grandchildren, Trevor J. Caplinger, Berklee Ann Caplinger and Finnley S. Caplinger all of Delaware, OH;one sister, Pamela Laughlin Simmons (Ross) of Greenville, NC; and several nieces and nephews. There will be a graveside service held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 8, 2017 at Evergreen North Cemetery with Randall Fusion officiating. There will be no visitation Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 2333 Pike St. Parkersburg is assisting the family.
