A Memorial Video is now available on this site.Douglas Thearon Gabbert Jr., 31 of Parkersburg, W.Va. passed away August 21, 2015 at Charleston Area Medical Center from injuries received from an auto accident. He was born June 28, 1984 in Parkersburg, son of Douglas T. Gabbert Sr. of Parkersburg and Jewel Kelly of Parkersburg. He was a graduate of Parkersburg South High School and was attending National College in Parkersburg. He was a member of Landmark Baptist Church. He loved spending time with his children.Douglas is survived by his father and step-mother, Douglas T. and Terri Gabbert; his mother, Jewel Kelly; his wife, Sheena Kyer-Gabbert of Parkersburg; his children, Kyler, Holden and Georgia Gabbert all of Parkersburg; his grandmother, Janet Gabbert of Parkersburg; his grandfather, Donald Gabbert and wife, Debra of Clarksburg; two sisters, Minnie Waggoner (Ernie) of Elizabeth, W.Va. and Amber Tait (Lee) of Marietta, Ohio; father and mother-in-law, Joe and Leisa Luse of Mineral Wells, W.Va.; brother-in-law, Jacob Kyer of Mineral Wells; special aunt, Donna of Myrtle Beach, SC; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Wanda Kovacs; and great-grandmother, Luella McIntire.Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 26, 2015 at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 2333 Pike St. Parkersburg with Pastor Michael Lamb officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Mineral Wells. Visitation will be 11:00 a.m. until time of services Wednesday at the funeral home.
