Dorothy Irene Alexander Inghram, of Parkersburg, passed away March 14, 2018 at her residence. She was born December 4, 1924 in Wood County, WV, the daughter of the late Roy and Laura B. Lemon Alexander. Dorothy was a 1943 graduate of Belpre High School.She was a homemaker and also worked for Kelly Services and United National Bank. She was a member of the Parkersburg Woman's Club and a member of Grace Baptist Church. Dorothy loved her church and sang in the choir. Her greatest love was cooking and caring for her family. She is survived by her daughter, Louann I. Samuelson of Parkersburg; sons, Gordon Alan Inghram of Parkersburg, Jeffrey Lynn Inghram of Texas and Christopher Alexander Inghram of Virginia Beach, VA; sister, Jean Wulfert of Marietta,OH; five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Gordon Inghram; and two brothers, Bernard and Dean Alexander. Funeral Services for Dorothy will be Saturday, March 17, 2018 at 11:00 A.M. at Grace Baptist Church, 55 Rosemar Rd., Parkersburg, WV with Dr. Todd Hill officiating. Burial will follow the service at Evergreen North Cemetery, Parkersburg. Visitation will be at the funeral home Friday, March 16, 2018 from 4:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. and one hour prior to the service on Saturday at the church. The family is deeply grateful for all the love, support and care that Housecalls Hospice has provided over the last eight months.
