Dorothy M. Hanlon, 85 of Parkersburg, W.Va. passed away July 21, 2014 at Camden Clark Medical Center, Memorial Campus. She was born March 30, 1929 in Wood County, W.Va., a daughter of the late Everett and Effie Rinehart Goff. She was a graduate of Parkersburg High School and a member of the Zion Baptist Church family. Dorothy worked as a cook for the Wood County Board of Education, Washington Jr. High School and Jefferson Elementary. She also worked as a cook at the Parkersburg Elks Club B.P.O.E.Dorothy is survived by a daughter, Bonnie Bartlett (Carl) of Parkersburg, W.Va.; a sister, Jean Brownfield of Vienna, W.Va.; two granddaughters, Felicia Ann Bartlett of Mineral Wells, W.Va. and Amber Dawn Bartlett of Parkersburg, W.Va.; six great-grandchildren, Devante, Alexis, Jasmine, Makenzie, Devin and Bryleigh; and one great great-grandson, Draeson.In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde Leon Hanlon; a brother; and a grandson, Damon Bartlett. Funeral services will be 6:00 p.m. Friday, July 25, 2014 at Zion Baptist Church at 8th & Clay Sts. in Parkersburg with Dr. Charles Grays and Pastor James Galbreath officiating. Visitation will be 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Friday at the church. Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.The family would like to express their appreciation to Dr. Joan Allman, Karen, Amanda, Sara and all at Cornerstone Health Care who took such loving care of our loved one.
