Dorothy E Gilliand

Dorothy E. Gilliand, 93, of Belpre, Ohio, passed away November 24, 2015 at her residence. She was born March 17, 1922, in Belpre, a daughter of the late William Frazer and Matilda Valentine Frazer. Dorothy was a homemaker. During her years in Little Hocking she spent much time with her dear friend Helen Houser. She was baptized at the Red Bush Church of Christ, in Little Hocking, Ohio. She is survived by daughters, Brenda Miller (Roger) of Knoxville, TN, Kathy Lucky (Tony) of Mineral Wells, W.Va., Debrah Stevens (Randall) and Sandra Simmons (Kevin), both of Belpre, Ohio; sons, Roger Gilliand (Karen) of McCook, NE, and Ronald Gilliand (Melanie) of Vincent, Ohio; a sister, Margie Richards of Belpre; 14 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren; many dear friends, neighbors, and relatives as well as cats, Anna Bell and Katie; and her dog Gretchen. In addition to her parents, Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde Joseph Gilliand; a daughter Mary Jo Gilliand; and several Brothers and Sisters. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M., Monday, November 30, 2015 at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home and Crematory, 1305 Washington Boulevard, Belpre, OH, with Pastor Dave Ellenwood officiating. Interment will follow at Rockland Cemetery, Belpre. Visitation will be 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Sunday, and one hour prior to the services Monday at the funeral home.
