Dorothy "Dottie" Agnes Patton

Dorothy "Dottie" Agnes (Dent) Patton, 90, formerly of Parkersburg WV, passed away peacefully December 12, 2025 at the Lancaster House in Marietta, OH. She was born on June 8, 1935 to Gypsy and Benjamin Franklin Dent of Belle, WV. Dottie was a 1954 graduate of Dupont H.S. where she met and married Yale "Kokey" Patton, her Husband of 64 years. Dottie and Kokey raised their family in Parkersburg, WV. They retired and moved to Deltona, FL in 1995.

Dottie loved to play tennis at the City Park in Parkersburg with her lifelong tennis friends. She was a tennis coach for many who played at Southwood Park. Her interest in estate sales and antiques, especially jewelry and glassware, became a passion. Dottie accumulated an impressive collection of treasures and established a name for herself setting up at flea markets and helping her customers find the perfect item. Her penname for second hand gifts to her grandchildren was from "Mrs. Sanford", a loving reference to the show Sandford and Son.

Dottie is proceeded in death by her husband, Yale C. Patton Jr., and siblings; Gene Dent, Harold Dent, Dixie Walker, and Meade Burns.

She is survived by three children; Yale C. Patton III, Leslie (Bob) Nolan, Alex (Lori) Patton, and five grandchildren; Jeff Maiden, Lauren (Chris) Hendricks, Chelsey (John) Snyder, Alexa (Nick) Incrocci, and Reece (fiancé Rebecca) Patton. Four (soon to be five) great grandchildren; Brecken and Farrah Hendricks, Sophia and Vance Snyder, and arriving soon, Lucy Patton. A special cousin, Utricia Callison, and dear niece, Lonnie Steele and many special nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank the staff at Lancaster House for their exceptional provisions and care. She often expressed how nice it was and that she has had a "good life."
