Doris Jean Underwood

Doris Jean Underwood, 79, of Belmont, WV, passed away on Sunday, September 29, 2019 at Camden Clark Medical Center. She was born May 21, 1940, in Tyler County, WV, a daughter of the late William and Dorothy Lancaster Walters. Doris was a great mother and wife and loved her family. She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Raymond V. Underwood; six children, Patricia Pickens (Richard), Raymond Underwood Jr. (Theresa), William D. Underwood (Sharon), Bryan Underwood Sr, Brenda Wright (Ronnie) and Donna Connell (Bill Britton); sister, Barbara Baker (Marshall); three brothers, Carl Walters (Judy), Jerry Walters and Roger Walters (Susan); ten grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Doris was preceded in death by one brother, Neil Walters. Funeral services will be held at 1 pm on Thursday, October 3, 2019 at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 2333 Pike St, south Parkersburg with Pastor Lonnie Coats officiating. Burial following at Parkersburg Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 4-8 pm on Wednesday at the funeral home.
