Doris “Peanut” Tefft, 90, of Parkersburg, W.Va. passed away January 3, 2015 at Worthington Manor.She was born June 3, 1924 in Kennett, Missouri, the daughter of the late Gerald H. Adams and Adelma Fields Adams Reed.Doris graduated from Caruthersville High School in Missouri in 1942 and worked for the County Draft Board and also for the FBI in Washington, DC. She was a homemaker and a member of the Union Valley Baptist Church in Parkersburg.She is survived by two sons, Frank Tefft (Alice) of Walker, W.Va. and David B. Tefft of Parkersburg; two daughters, Patty Ward (Danny) of Ashland, Ky. and Barbara Oldaker (Roger) of Parkersburg; one sister, Bernice Pfeiffer of Sandy, Utah; fourteen grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; one great-grandchild on the way; six step-grandchildren; one nephew; and three nieces.In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Gordon R. “Bob” Tefft.Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 7, 2015 at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 400 Green St., Parkersburg with Pastor Bill Law officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen North Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday and from 11:00 a.m. until time of service Wednesday at the funeral home.
