Doris Stella Keenan

Doris Stella Keenan, 88, of Belpre, Ohio passed away June 28, 2017 at her residence. She was born November 25, 1928, in McDowell County, WV, a daughter of Ballard W. and Effie M. Matney Horne. Doris earned an Associate’s Degree and was employed by Belpre City Schools as a secretary for 31 years. She was a member of Saint Ambrose Catholic Church. She is survived by daughters, Anna Marie (Jerry) Smith, of Lowell, Ohio, and Patricia Keenan of Belpre, Ohio; sons, James Keenan of Belpre, Ohio, Joseph (Peggy) Keenan of Mentone, Indiana, and Patrick (Amy) Keenan, of Bowling Green, Ohio; son-in-law, Robert Mellon of Belpre, Ohio; four granddaughters; several great-grandchildren; and her beloved dog Romeo. In addition to her parents Doris was preceded in death by daughter, Mary Mellon; and sons, Rusty and Bud Keenan. Mass of Christian Burial will be Monday, July 3, 2017, 10:00 a.m. at Saint Ambrose Catholic Church, Little Hocking, Ohio, with Reverend Robert Gallagher officiating. Interment will follow at the Tuppers Plains Church of Christ Cemetery in Tuppers Plains, Ohio. The family will receive friends Sunday, July 2, 2017 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 1305 Washington Boulevard, Belpre, Ohio.
