Doris Jean DeVore of Belpre, Ohio died November 17, 2019 at The Willows Nursing Home. She was born in Millfield, Ohio the daughter of Albert and Glady (Burnem) McClain. She attended school at Cutler Elementary and Bartlett High School. She attended the 19th Street Nazarene Church at Parkersburg. She was a member of Mt. Liberty E.U.B. Council. Doris retired from Remington Rand, Kardex Systems after 36 years of service. She is survived by a son, Jerry DeVore of Belpre, Ohio and a daughter Judi Rae DeVore of Fleming, Ohio; a special granddaughter Haley Renee of South Carolina, whom she talked about all the time. Also surviving are two brothers, Thomas and David McClain of Cutler, two sisters, Judy Alkire of Marietta, and Janice Sue McClain of Cutler, many nieces and nephews, also a special cousin Henry Thomas of Lanaham, West Virginia. She was preceded in death by her parents, one infant daughter, Jada Rene; a sister Donna McClain; three brothers Jerry, Albert Jr., and Robert; a niece Tammy Thomas, niece Chrissy McC and nephew Roosevelt Roger McClain. Per Doris’ request she chose to donate her body to The Human Gift Registry at Ohio University Osteopathic Medicine for Advancement of Medical Education and Research. No Funeral is planned. There will be a memorial at a later date and time which will be announced in the newspaper.
