Donald Eugene Scott

Donald E. Scott, 81, of Vienna, passed away October 22, 2018 at his residence. He was born July 31, 1937 in Cairo, WV, the son of the late Edward R. and Catherine Elder Scott. Donald graduated from Cairo High School, and was drafted into the US Army. He played the saxophone in the Cairo High School Band, St. Mary’s Community Band, and Marietta College Community Band. He retired from International Converter as a supervisor, was active in the Cairo High School Alumni Association. He enjoyed golf and gardening. He is survived by two sons, Steven Brian Scott (Sherie) and David Alan Scott (Tammy); grandchildren, Kara Marie Scott, Nicole Elizabeth Scott and Landis Noel Scott; cousin, Ruth Ann Flanagan. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his spouse, Shirley V. Edmond Scott. As per his request there will be a graveside service at 12:00 P.M., Thursday, October 25, 2018 at the Cairo Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to The American Cancer Society in Donald’s name. Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, Vienna is assisting the family with Donald’s arrangements.
