Donald Owen Schreckengost

Donald Owen Schreckengost, 73, of Parkersburg, W.Va., passed away on July 7, 2014 at Camden Clark Medical Center, Memorial Campus.He was born May 12, 1941, in Roane County, W.Va., a son of the late Thurl and Floy Evelyn Crislip Schreckengost.Don worked at Viscose Corp. and retired from Challenger Electric. He enjoyed working on cars doing mechanical and repair work, woodworking and spending time with his children and grandchildren.He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Margaret Ann Craddock Schreckengost; two sons, Donald Edward Schreckengost (Carla) of Parkersburg, W.Va. and Tommy Wayne Schreckengost (Teresa) of Mineral Wells, W.Va.; one brother, Robert Schreckengost (Diane) of Parkersburg; three grandsons, D.J. Schreckengost (Tara) and their daughter, Adriane of Wheeling, W.Va., Adam Schreckengost of Parkersburg, and Alex Schreckengost of Mineral Wells; and several nieces and nephews.He was preceded in death by his parents.Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 10, 2014 at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 2333 Pike St., Parkersburg, W.Va. with Pastor Ralph Tisdale officiating. Interment will follow at Evergreen South Cemetery.Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until time of services on Thursday at the funeral home.
