Dolores J. Buckley, 89, of Belleville, WV, passed away surrounded by her loving family on July 1, 2018. She was born October 7, 1928, in Wood County, a daughter of the late Ferman C. and Alma E. Dennis Rice. Dolores was a 1947 graduate of Wirt County High School and earned a degree in education from Marshall University. She taught at several schools in Wood County. Dolores was a faithful member of the Hopewell and Lubeck Church of Christ. She enjoyed the outdoors, gardening, farming and sports, especially her Mountaineers. Most of all, she loved caring for her family. She is survived by her children, Vickie St. Clair (David) of Washington, WV and Debbie Strahler (Dan) of Lowell, OH; her grandchildren, Scott St. Clair, Tara St. Clair (Jeff Lindsay), Joel St. Clair, Rachel Meek (Josh) Megan Lang (Jamie) and Andrew Strahler; her great-grandchildren, Jade and Jaymison Baker, Braylon, Brooklynne, Kyrie Meek and Oliver Lang; two nieces and one nephew. In addition to her parents, Dolores was preceded in death by her husband of over 56 years, Claude W. Buckley; and her two siblings, Dorothea Hofmann and Doris Wanda Rice. The family would like to thank the Marietta Home Health and Hospice, Dr. Ryan Lowers, Marietta Memorial Wound Care, the many health care workers and friends and neighbors who have touched her life. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 4, 2018 at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 2333 Pike St, south Parkersburg with Randy Baker officiating. Interment will follow at Hopewell Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home and one hour prior to the service on Wednesday.
