Dixie Rose Baker Twyman 68, of Vienna, passed away April 30, 2016 at her residence, following a long battle with cancer. She was born February 10,1948 in Parkersburg, the daughter of the late Edwin and Helen Wittekind Davis. She was a graduate of PHS class of 1966. She retired from GE after 25 years of service, she was also a caregiver to her parents for several years. She was a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church. Dixie loved the beach and going to Key West with her son. Her favorite pastime was playing scrabble and target shooting. She is survived by two sons, Scott Charles Baker and John Wesley Conrad both of Vienna; grandson, Chaz Baker and great grandson, Deric Carter Baker both of Vienna and Parkersburg; brother, Ed Davis (Leasa) of Parkersburg; sister, Deanna Pifer (Lewis) of Vienna; sister-in-law, Lynn Davis of Parkersburg and brother-in-law, Bob Franklin of New Hampshire. In addition to her parents, Dixie was preceded in death by a sister, Della Franklin and a brother, Charles Henry Davis. As a special gift Dixie donated her body to science for research on the human gift registry at WVU. There will be a memorial service at a later date at the convenience of the family.
