Derek "Bob" Robert Hoselton

Derek "Bob" R. Hoselton, age 83, of Parkersburg, WV, passed away peacefully on Friday, April 24th, 2026. Born in Parkersburg on December 10th, 1942, Derek lived a life marked by dedication to his family, work, and passions.

Bob spent his career as a skilled crane operator at O’Ames in Parkersburg, from where he retired after decades of service. Beyond his professional life, he had a deep love for real estate and was known for his enthusiasm in this hobby. His appreciation for nature was evident through his enjoyment of bird watching and feeding the ducks and birds that visited his garden. Bob took great pride in his gardening, nurturing plants with the same care he offered to those around him.

A proud Marine, Bob's service to his country was a testament to his strong spirit and resilience, traits that carried through every aspect of his life.

Bob is survived by his beloved significant other, Nancy Ann Chrisman, his son Creighton Hoselton, and God-child, Derek R. Chrisman. He leaves behind a legacy cherished by his grandsons, Creighton Davis and Brandon Davis, and his granddaughter, Ashley Davis.

He is preceded in death by his parents, William Hoselton and Elma Lucas, who undoubtedly welcomed him into their loving arms once again.
