Denvil Jearl Drake

Denvil J. Drake, 71, of Elizabeth, W.Va., passed away March 6, 2015 at his daughters residence.He was born February 27, 1944, in Spencer, W.Va., a son of the late Ira and Iley Keaton Drake.Denvil was a self employed owner of Drake Logging as a Timber Contractor. He enjoyed hunting and fishing.He is survived by one daughter, Dina Harrison (Richard) of Mineral Wells, W.Va.; two sons, Denvil J. “Denny”, Jr. of Elizabeth, W.Va. and Daniel Drake (Rebecca) of Washington, W.Va.; three sisters, Jeannia Dooley (Harold) of Parkersburg, W.Va., Macel Cook and Dormal McClain both of Charleston, W.Va.; one brother, Delbert Drake (Rozanna) of Elizabeth; a special nephew, Ronzil Drake of Parkersburg; eight grandchildren, Stacy, Wesley, Tyler, Cody, Benjamin, Amy, Sara and Kaylee; one great grandchild, Kaden, and several nieces and nephews.In addition to his parents he was preceded in death his wife of over 40 years, Deidra K. Drake; and seven siblings.Private graveside services will be held 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, March 10, 2015 at Sunset Memory Gardens with Reverend Harold Eaton officiating. Visitation will be 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday at the Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, Pike St. , south Parkersburg.
