Dennis E. Deem

Dennis E. Deem, 90, of Mineral Wells, passed away on Tuesday, November 20, 2018 at his residence. He was born October 18, 1928 in Parkersburg, a son of the late Glen E. and Elva M. Daugherty Deem. Dennis retired from DuPont after thirty three years of service working in the lab. He enjoyed bowling and pitching horse shoes. Dennis was a sports fan, coached little league and loved watching Parkersburg South High School and the Yankees. He was a member of the Rockport Church of Christ. He is survived by his daughter, Catherine L. Conner (Darryl) of Mineral Wells; his son, Richard E. Deem (Charlotte) of Mineral Wells; his daughter in-law, Linda Deem of Mineral Wells; his sister, Geraldine Roberts (Roy) of Ohio; eight grandchildren, nineteen great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, Dennis was preceded in death by his first wife, Eleanor M. Deem; his second wife, Joyce I. Deem; his two sons, David G. and Harold E. Deem; and his grandson, Nick Deem. The family would like to send a special thanks to hospice and the health care providers, Brianna Gains, Shannon Frazier and Dr. Avery. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 24, 2018 at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 2333 Pike St, south Parkersburg with grandson, Bill Deem and grandson in-law, Steve Morgan officiating. Burial will follow at Big Tygart Cemetery, Mineral Wells. Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
