Deloris Jean Brown

Deloris Jean Brown, 88, of Williamstown, W.Va., passed away January 8, 2017 at her residence. She was born April 17, 1928 in Berea, W.Va., the daughter of the late Basil Leroy and Anna Nancy Barker Brooks. Deloris was a member of Boaz Baptist Church and was active in the community. She is survived by one daughter, Jennie Ankrom and one son, Harold Brown (Carolyn) both of Williamstown; two sisters, Lula Bell Townsend, of Murphytown, W.Va. and Ruby Martin, of Walker, W.Va.; six grandchildren; and thirteen great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Carl; one son, Robert; and several brothers and sisters. Funeral services will be Thursday, January 12, 2017 at 12:30 p.m. at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 3005 Grand Central Ave, Vienna, with Reverend Randall Fusion officiating. Burial will follow the service at Evergreen North Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home. The family would like to thank Amedisys Hospice for their love and care of their mother. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to Oniel Senior Center, 433, 4th. St Marietta, Ohio 45750 in memory of Deloris.
