Della Frances Franklin

Della Frances Davis Franklin, 68, of Parkersburg, W.Va., passed away on January 28, 2013 at her residence.She was born June 21, 1944, in Parkersburg, a daughter of Helen Wittekind Davis of Parkersburg and the late Edwin E. Davis.Della graduated from Keyser High School, graduated from Camden Clark School of Nursing as a registered nurse, had worked at the WV Masonic Home and was retired from Love and Care Personal Care Home. She loved her family and being a grandmother, enjoyed traveling, was a children's Bible class teacher, and was a member of the North End Church of Christ.She is survived by her husband, Robert B. Franklin; two sons, Robert E. (Paula) Franklin of Parkersburg, W.Va. and Walter B. (Marcia) Franklin of Manchester, N.H.; two sisters, Deanna (Lewis) Pifer of Vienna, W.Va. and Dixie Twyman of Parkersburg, W.Va.; two brothers, Edwin (Leasa) Davis and Charles (Lynn) Davis, both of Parkersburg, W.Va.; and three grandchildren, Andrew and Isabella Franklin of Manchester, N.H. and Benjamin Franklin of Parkersburg, W.Va.Funeral services will be conducted 11:30 a.m. on Friday, Feb. 1, 2013 at the North End Church of Christ with Steven Haguewood and Teddy Tackett officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memory Gardens. Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 and 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Thursday at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 2333 Pike St., Parkersburg, W.Va.Memorial contributions may be made to Love and Care Personal Care Home, 5386 Dupont Road, Parkersburg, WV26101.
